For a $85 up-charge we recommend spooling your reel with 400 yards of 60 pound hollow core braid spliced into 200 yards of 40 pound top-shot monofilament on this combo with blue or orange hollow core braid color options, then your choice of clear, blue, yellow, or orange top-shop monofilament.
For a $100 up-charge we will spool your reel with 800 yards of 50 pound 8x braid on this combo with blue or green braid color options.

With the addition of the Makaira Thrust bearing, the re-designed Alijos 2-Speed Lever Drag reels now reduce side load at heavy drag settings, remaining lightweight, compact-bodied, big fish-stopping machines. Built with 6061-T6 machined aluminum for the ultimate in strength. The 1-piece frame continues around to the non-handle side, the side plate which has a cast control system for precision spool control. The spool bearings are bathed in TSI oil giving it the ultimate in castability and frees spool. The Alijos reels feature a longer 90mm handle harm and oversized T-bar handle knob for great torque and comfort. The clicker mechanism has been reworked to give a louder clicking sound for trolling or dead stick applications. The new 2-speed shifting mechanism has been completely reworked by Okuma giving it the ultimate in shifting. The DFD: Dual Force Drag puts out tremendous drag pressure with its 100% larger drag plates.
